The rice harvested is yours to take home.

How It Unfolded in 2025
April - Preparing seed beds, sowing
May - Weeding seed beds and rice fields
June - Rice planting
July - Mowing — morning work only due to the heat
August - Mowing — early mornings
September - Mowing — early mornings
October - Cutting bamboo, rice harvesting
November - Rice harvesting, rack-drying, threshing
December - Rice hulling and a small gathering to mark the season’s end
From July onward, the heat shaped our rhythm.
We worked only in the mornings and left the fields once the day grew too warm.
As the season progressed, participants began coming to the fields at times that suited their own lives.
