The theme of the second session is again "Build your own personal secretary — constructing a second brain".
You'll turn your own computer into a personal secretary.
The tools are AI and a note-taking app.
Here's what becomes possible:
・It tells you today's schedule every morning
・It writes social media posts as if you had written them yourself
・Ask what the fields were like ten years ago, and it tells you
・It finds the document you need among 7,000 files in an instant, and tidies away the ones you don't
As you enter diaries, reading notes, ideas and so on, Obsidian accumulates more and more about you.
Inside your own computer. Not somewhere on the internet.
🗓 What's changed since last time
Last time (July), two hours wasn't enough, because downloading and installing took time.
So this time, please come having already downloaded Obsidian and Claude.
For those who can't manage it, there's a separate session to help with preparation (below).
We'll limit the AI to Claude.
The course materials work with any AI, so you can do the same with Codex (ChatGPT) or Google's Antigravity. But on the day we'll proceed with Claude, which I use every day.
🎫 About the Claude guest pass (please read)
I'll give my guest pass (7 days of Claude Pro free) to the three participants, because last time we learned the free tier isn't enough for the initial setup.
・Registering a credit card is required to receive it
・From day 8 it switches automatically to Pro at 20 dollars a month. If you don't want to continue, please cancel yourself within 7 days (I'll explain how on the day)
・The free tier is only insufficient during the build. After that, use it within the free tier and pay only if it runs short — that was last time's lesson
・Note: if you have ever subscribed to a paid Claude plan, the guest pass can't be used
🛠️ What we'll do on the day (10:00–12:00)
- A look at my day (15 min)
In the morning, have AI propose today's schedule. In the evening, jot down just three lines about the day. While I'm in the rice field, social media works on its own. I'll show you this day as it is, on my own computer. - Initial setup of the "Second Brain" roadmap (course materials)
Following the materials, each of you builds your own. I'll help wherever you get stuck. We'll do the initial environment setup — where people tend to give up — all together, and finish the first step on the spot. - Trying the daily command
You'll try, on your own PC, the "Daily Start" command, which talks with AI at the start of the day to set your stance.
🌿 Requirements
- Able to bring a laptop
- Able to do basic computer operations (three yardsticks: connect to Wi-Fi yourself / install software / know where a saved file is)
- Able to download Obsidian and Claude before the day (guest-pass registration is on the day)
- Willing to purchase the designated course materials (below)

- What to bring: a laptop (ordinary specs are fine) and a credit card (needed to buy the materials and register the Claude guest pass)

- Parking: please use nearby car parks (our own parking is full that day because of the atelier)

About the materials: last time there was a good question — "can't I build a second brain without these materials?" The answer is: you can. Using the materials is like the convenience of using pancake mix when you make pancakes.
