A fresh start

It was the day guitar lessons resumed.

I try to give back more learning and insight than the person who comes to learn is looking for.

And to keep the lesson fun at the same time.

To give my very best to others, fully.

From the preparation onwards, a little nervousness and a little anticipation turned into excitement, and it felt good.

I'm grateful to have been given such a time.

The student's goal is to be able to play three pieces for a concert planned in March.

I shared insights like the ones below, we learned together, and we enjoyed playing.

  • Tips on holding the guitar
  • Tips on fretting chords
  • How to practise fingering
  • Tuning without a tuner
  • About pitch
  • Suggested alternatives to the chords written in the score
  • Smoothing out chord changes

After the lesson, we also shared insights by email,
and I tried the mandala chart I had been curious about for a while.

I'll run alongside the student until the performance.
